Karaoke Machines That Connect to a TV
Putting lyrics on a TV turns karaoke into a group activity. HDMI is the simple route to a modern TV. Older CD+G machines use RCA cables, which suit older TVs or need an adapter.
HDMI or RCA?
- HDMI carries picture and sound over one cable. Every modern TV has it.
- RCA (composite) uses the yellow video plug. Many newer TVs have dropped it.

FAQ
Can a Bluetooth karaoke speaker show lyrics on my TV?
Not by itself. The lyrics come from whatever plays the song, such as a phone, a smart TV app or a streaming stick. The speaker only plays the sound and the mics.
What is CD+G?
Compact Disc + Graphics: karaoke discs that carry lyrics as simple graphics. A CD+G player such as the SML385 sends them to a TV.
Do I need Wi-Fi for TV karaoke?
For app-based machines, yes. The SML385 plays CD+G discs without Wi-Fi.
